Numbers & odds
Every number needs a meaning.
Odds are prices, not decoration. Name the format, align changing values, preserve signs and decimals, and never label an unexplained percentage as confidence.
Use a true minus sign, never a hyphen.
Keep the sign attached to the line.
Pair Over / Under with the threshold.
Place the asset once, after the value.
Includes stake; label it explicitly.
Two decimals with the ISO or asset code.
Keep sign, precision, and alignment within a column.
One decimal in analysis; name the source or method.
Compact in lists; exact values in details and tables.
Use tabular figures in prices, scores, timers, balances, and tables.
Use “Implied probability” or “Model estimate · Updated 2m ago”.
Show “—” with the state label. Never leave a stale price visible.
Slashed zero belongs to IDs, hashes, wallets, and logs—not odds, balances, probabilities, or P&L.
Price format, sign, score, and clock remain explicit.
Name methodology, movement unit, liquidity, and freshness.
Use the multiplication sign and name every rate or return.
Compact values only in KPI cards; exact values in tables and tooltips.
